A year of memories, 2012
As the year is coming to a close, we have been thinking about the amazing relationships that we have built with our clients and the employees within the company. We are so very lucky that our clients have trusted us to perfect their events, and we are always striving to achieve perfection for them.
The employees here are Emerald City Designs are truly some of the best. Each and every year 50+ employees vote for the “Employee of the Year”, which is announced by David C. McKnight at ECD’s annual holiday party. This year the employees voted for, Tammy Jones, the laundry department manager. This past year she has made a countless number of custom linens for our couture collection that have turned out beautifully.
Emerald City Designs holiday party took place at The Inn at St. Johns this year. There were two team members who volunteered to plan and design the event, Ann McQueen (planner) and Alicia O’Reilly (designer). They worked together creating all aspects from the invitations, timeline of the evening and the overall design concept. The morning of the event, these two worked with about 8 other volunteer employees to set this up. The entire design of the event was a surprise for David McKnight (owner), Nicole Beaudoin (Director of Events), and Elizabeth Sheridan (Director of Design) to walk into. Although the three of them oversee all of ECD’s events- this was one that they could walk into not having any clue what it would be like, as it does for guests at any of our other events.
The photography was done by Lisa Gavan, one of our very own- she did an amazing job capturing the evening.
